Craig McCaw James Island Now for Sale

Craig McCaw James Island (2)

Billionaire Craig McCaw has decided that he and his family should let go of the gorgeous James Island off the coast of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. According to the cell phones magnate, even though everybody in his family just loves spending time on the island, they will sell it because they “have the perfect storm of kids’ activities and no one wants to be left behind”.

McCaw and his wife Susan bought the island back in 1994, and now they ask $75 million for it. We are talking about a 780-acre property located about a mile away from Vancouver Island. The luxury amenities that come with this island include miles of lovely sand beaches, a private golf course designed by American golfer Jack Nicklaus, a marina, an airstrip, and a gorgeous main residence with 5,000 square feet of space.

Made of reclaimed cedar, the main house has four bedrooms and it offers all the comfort one could ever ask for. Other structures on the property include a converted warehouse that is now used as an entertainment center, six guest cottages, separate staff accommodations, a gym and a store. As far as activities are concerned, you will never have to worry about getting bored on the James Island. Aside from golf, you can also have fun fishing or engaging in all sorts of water sports and ocean-related activities.
