Coach Becomes More Luxurious and More Covetable

Upgrades are always excellent news, and we are happy to hear that one very important upgrade is taking place at Coach. The American leather goods company is reportedly leaving behind its mass-marketed days and heading to a new, more glamorous future in which it plays the role of a luxury brand with a new Creative Director on board: Stuart Vevers.

According to the new CEO Victor Luis, Vevers was the perfect person for the position, as he has a strong luxury design background and he fully understands the new direction that Coach is following. Consequently, fabled leather goods companies like Mulberry, Céline and Proenza Schouler are going to see their competition grow.

Fashion addicts out there, prepare yourself to shell out more money on your Coach accessories from now on. The times when you could buy a classy handbag for less than $1,000 are over. Luis has announced that prices will rise to $3,000 and $5,000 for a new fashionable leather bag wearing the Coach logo.
