BMW Reveals a Slightly Enhanced 2013 BMW X6 M (10)

The 2013 BMW X6 M has finally had its official launch at the New York Auto Show, just a couple of days ago. As the modifications it features are all very subtle, you may not see them when you first take a look at the photos below. So here is some more information to help you figure out what the guys at BMW did to improve the appeal of this bad boy.

First of all, the car features a new hood, inspired by the BMW X6 Active Hybrid (which is no longer on the market due to surprisingly low sales). Then there are the optional LED headlights and the slightly modified grille, which make up the new face of the car. The 20-inch wheels sport painted calipers, available in “M” blue, or golden hue for the optional ceramic/carbon brakes.

Under the new hood, the new X6 M holds an unchanged twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, with 555 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque. The power is transmitted to all four wheels via a six-speed paddleshift automatic gearbox. The 0 to 60 mph sprint can be completed in less than 5 seconds. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you think about the new X6 M in the comment section below.
