Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept at Nürburgring

Because Aston Martin is celebrating its 100th anniversary, a new awesome concept was designed to hint to the future direction in which the company will go design-wise. Called CC100 Speedster Concept, this is a one-off creation that made its debut at the fabled Nürburgring circuit.

It was designed to merge past and future in a perfectly harmonious car that evokes the 1956 DBR1 racing icon, while also offering a few hints regarding the future of the British automaker. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 coupled to a 6-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual gearbox. The 0-62 mph sprint is completed in a little over 4 seconds, and the top speed is 180 mph.

Based on a very simple yet very intimidating brief – something that reflects the 100 years of Aston Martin heritage and signals the future of the brand– the concept was designed and manufactured in less than half a year. It was proudly driven on the circuit by Sir Stirling Moss, accompanied by the 1959 DBR1. Both the interior and the body were made of carbon fiber.
