Artificial islands are no longer a novelty in the 21st century. We’ve already got the famous archipelagos in Dubai to convince us that it is really possible to create a little more land on water. Following the trend, but in a slightly different way, is architect Alexander Krasinski. He created a bold project of a tower-like island that would provide all the comfort and options that living on land has to offer.
An internal seaport an airport are both part of the project, together with other facilities like office spaces, recreational and commercial centers, academic, governmental and administrative centers, terraces, sport facilities and a water park. Measuring 1000 meters in diameter and 1000 meters in height, the island offers 5,000,000 square meters of usable area and enough space for 52,096 inhabitants. Pretty impressive, isn’t it?
