Abramovich’s love for art is very well known by now. He broke records by buying some incredibly expensive works of art on several occasions, and the media now suspects him of having bought another precious masterpiece, Francis Bacon’s ‘Three Studies for a Portrait of Lucan Freud’.
The triptych was sold last week to an anonymous purchaser for the mind-boggling sum of $37 million. The auction took place London and it was held by Sotheby’s. Even though we don’t know who the buyer was, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn later that it was Roman Abramovich who wanted to complete his already impressive art collection.
