Roman Abramovich is not the only Russian billionaire who enjoys spending fortunes on houses. Yuri Milner, another wealthy man from Russia, has recently spent a whopping $100 million on a second home in Silicon Valley, California. The man actually lives in Moscow, together with his wife and children, but he finds enough time to frequently come and visit his estate in California.
Milner is a 47 years old Internet tycoon who owns DST Global, an investment company that is said to hold 10% of Facebook’s shares. His new home offers 25,500 square feet of living space, with 5 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a ballroom, a wine cellar, a home theater, a gym/spa and large living areas on the second floor, with beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay. The house also has a swimming pool, a tennis court, a car wash and beautiful formal gardens.
The Wall Street Journal’s Market Watch informs us that $100 million is the highest known price paid for a residence in the States.
