The jewelry piece/gadget that you can admire in the images was created by Swarovski and Misfit, and it was presented in Las Vegas. It is the world’s first solar powered fitness and sleep tracker, and it is based on a Swarovski crystal face and a rechargeable battery.
Clearly, the crystal is the product’s highlight, as it serves both decorative and functional purposes. Apart from its great looks, the crystal is able to focus sunlight in a beam and direct it onto a solar cell found right below it. The piece is available in two versions, one with a clear crystal face and one with a violet face. Unfortunately, only the violet variant offers solar charging capabilities.
The crystal needs about 10 to 15 minutes of solar exposure in order to generate a full charge, which then lasts for a couple of days. The tracker will become available later in 2015 and will boast a price tag that ranges from $170 to $250. Potential customers can also opt to purchase several accessories that cost between $70 and $150.
