Villa Arrighi in Umbria, Italy

On a 2,700-acre private estate in Umbria, Italy, called Castello di Reschio, there are some 50 farmhouses scattered around the hilly landscape. They were made by the owners of the magnificent property, Count Antonio Bolza and his family (two generations of it), and a dozen of them have been carefully restored to make beautiful homes for rich clients.

One of them is Villa Arrighi, a 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom retreat, that offers 6,600 square feet of living space and which can accommodate up to 12 guests.  Arrighi can be rented for prices that range from $23,000 to $30,000 per week. Prices change depending on the seasons, as the residence can be rented all year round.

After the meticulous restoration, the villa is still obviously an 11th century home, but it’s got some very contemporary features that make it truly appealing today. Some of Villa Arrighi’s highlights are the large entertaining kitchen, the spacious, tasteful interiors and the lovely swimming pool.
