Vertu Was Purchased By A Cyprus-Based Company

Vertu, the famed British company that specializes in manufacturing high-end phones, has been acquired by a Cyprus-registered company funded by an exiled and secretive Turkish business dynasty. Before the acquisition, the firm was owned by a Chinese group named Godin Holdings, and hopefully, the purchase won’t affect the phones’ build quality and manufacturing techniques in significant ways. The new owners have direct ties with a Turkish individual named Hakan Uzan, who was found guilty of contempt of court in Britain in 2002.
