Based in Brooklyn, New York, Vanguard is a relatively new motorcycle brand that was co-founded in 2013 by Edward Jacobs, who served as lead designer for Confederate Motorcycles from 2005 to 2011. The company’s first model was dubbed Roadster, it was unveiled during the International Motorcycle Show that took place last December in Manhattan.
Priced at $30,000, the bike is scheduled to enter production in 2018, and it is powered by a modified SS X-Wedge engine, which is good for 110 lb ft of torque. Other important features include an integrated exhaust system, a digital dashboard, and a unitized crankcase. The dashboard offers conventional functions such as an odometer and a speedometer, but it is also linked to a rear-view camera.
