Unique Fabergé Egg-Inspired Guitar

Guitars come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they are often adorned with various motifs. Some of these musical instruments are dedicated to the world’s most talented musicians, while others evoke stunning cars or gorgeous cities. This time around, we’re talking about a guitar that was inspired by the 1900 Pine Cone Easter Egg – one of the most exquisite jeweled eggs ever made by Faberge.

The guitar is a Fender Stratocaster, and it was created by none other than Yuriy Shishkov. Using a projected 3D image, he managed to trace and carve the egg’s unique pattern directly onto the guitar’s body, and each and every one of the resulting scales received a silver and 18-carat gold treatment. As far as decorations go, there are 550 diamonds embedded in the knobs, side dots, fingerboard inlays and scales. The engraved pickups and bridge also received the gold treatment, with the fingerboard featuring gold wire trellis that measure 9.8 feet.

This one-off Stratocaster is expected to fetch a price tag of $1 million at auction. The fortunate buyer will also take home a blue leather strap as well as an authentic Fabergé Pine Cone Easter egg.
