Top Five Billionaire-Producing Companies

Top Five Billionaire-Producing Companies

Glencore’s prospectus was released this may, revealing its biggest shareholders, of which five are new billionaires. The CEO alone, Mr. Ivan Glasenberg has a fortune of $9.5 billion. But if you think that’s a lot, then you should take a look at the figures TNK-BP produces: the “smallest” billionaire in their list boasts $4.5 billion, with the wealthiest having a $13 billion fortune. Facebook and Google however occupy the top spots in the list, with Mark Zuckerberg having a net worth of $13.5 billion, while Larry Page and Sergey Brin each has a huge net worth of $19.8 billion.

This top does not mention the large family-held companies like Wal-Mart, S.C. Johnson, Cargill, Turkey’s Koc and Brazil’s Itau Unibanco. They have all produced some uber-rich people over time, but since inheritance is also an important source of money for some of their employees, we simply decided not to include them in the top.

So here is what remained, the top five billionaires-producing companies in the world: Google with 7 names on Forbes list of billionaires, Facebook with 6, TNK-BP with 6, Glencore with 5 and Infosys with 5 as well. And as they grow, they will probably bring even more people into the super-rich community. Facebook for instance is scheduled to go public next year, so we expect new billionaires to appear soon.
