The 155-foot yacht was bought as a lavish wedding present for Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren. After the divorce however, Elin didn’t want to keep the vessel as a part of the divorce settlement. So now the professional golfer is seeking a buyer for the extravagant $25 million yacht, called Privacy.
He reportedly bought Privacy for $20 million in 2004, and every year he had to shell out some $2 million more on maintenance alone. The boat was dry-docked at Fort Lauderdale for two months for deck re-surfacing and for painting the hull. Propulsion comes from a pair of 1,800 hp MTU/Detroit Diesel motors. Two 99 kW Northern Lights generators provide electrical power.
Privacy can carry two ocean kayaks, three SeaDoos and two Vespa scooters. Everything on the yacht oozes luxury: the eight-person Jacuzzi and the large bar on the deck, the cherry woodworks inside, the VIP stateroom, the workout room, the sweeping staircase with transparent stairs, the elevator and the large, open saloon and dining area.
