Hubless wheels are getting more an more popular, especially when it comes to innovative bike designs like that of the foldable racing bike concept by Allen Chester G. Zhang. Today we bring another goodie to your attention, the Synapse bike.
Inspired by the neural synapse, the bicycle features a very organic design with a frame resembling the intricate links between neurons. Small built-in electric motors hold the two wheels as seen in the images below. Aside from the two wheels, the Synapse has another hubless circle, the one that’s incorporated in the pedaling system. The designer is Sylvain Gerber.
