Volkswagen Group had plenty of goodies to show off at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. One concept however didn’t make it on the stage, even though it was announced it would. We are talking about a preview of the next generation Phaeton, which is scheduled for production in 2015. We will probably have the chance to see the concept at some other international auto show, where we’ll also find out what VW decided to change in the beautiful car.
Some say it will be downsized to fit between the Audi A6 and A8, meaning that it will no longer compete with the latter. It could receive one or more new and less traditional body styles in addition to the current four-door sedan shape. Smaller engines could also be introduced in the new generation luxury vehicle.
