The Audi A7 is a new four-door coupe, a perfect rival for the much appreciated Mercedes-Benz CLS. Inspired by the old Audi 100 Coupe, the A7 boasts an elegant yet sporty cut at the rear end. The front of the car looks pretty much like an A8, with the futuristic design of the concept having been attenuated for the production version of the vehicle.
The A7 fits perfectly between the A6 and the A8 models in terms of dimensions and it guarantees comfort, space and elegance. As Cesar Muntada, the Team Leader of the Department of Exterior Design – Product Identity puts it, Audi “wanted to construct a dream car for this class, and we got to start with a blank sheet of paper”. The result is really impressive.
Customers will have the possibility to choose form the four different engines available: two gas and two diesel V6 models. They will come fitted to either a seven speed automatic transmission (for the AWD versions), or a continuous variable transmission (for the front-drive ones). The new A7 will be available soon for about $66,600, or €51,650.
