Quite a few companies are currently experimenting with self-driving cars, but self-driving trucks and busses are definitely more impressive. They’re also more difficult to manufacture given their size and the huge responsibility that rests on the autopilot, but Mercedes-Benz and Daimler are confident that we will see self-driving busses on our streets in the near future.
The two companies have created something called the Mercedes-Benz Future Bus, and we have to admit that this looks like a very impressive piece of technology. Even though it doesn’t require a driver, the bus still has room for one just in case something goes wrong. With that out of the way, we can tell you that it includes some useful technologies such as phone chargers, to say nothing of its eye-catching lights and handrails, which were inspired by tree branches.
