The First Rolls Royce Phantom III of America is for Sale

Where have I seen this car before? you might be asking. Well, if you’re not old enough to have seen it in 1936 when it came to America as the first Rolls Royce Phantom III with a PIII chassis, then you probably saw it in the 2006 Pan’s Labyrinth movie.

Anyway, soon enough the car will be up for auction and it is expected to fetch £60,000 to £70,000. That is about $100,000. The Phantom will be there at the Bonham’s Important Motor Cars and Fine Automobilia sale next month at Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands in England.

First delivered to America on December 2, 1936 to a client from New York, this is a 7,340 cc Rolls Royce with a V12 engine. The five person limousine features the original rear interior.
