The Famous Grouse is celebrating its 30th anniversary as the best selling whisky in Scotland by launching a new exquisite blend by Gordon Motion, the Master Blender of the company since 2009. Created in a limited edition of only $10,000 bottles spread around the world, the anniversary whisky is presented in custom decanters by Wade Ceramics and painted by Rodger McPhail, a renowned British wildlife artist who also drew the red grouse that can be seen on every Famous Grouse whisky.
A unique dark gold blend fills these bottles, made with whisky from the year in which The Famous Grouse was officially declared Scotland’s best selling whisky, plus other whiskies from subsequent years. This special blend is the first one created by Gordon Motion since he assumed the important position in the company.
The beautiful decanter will be exhibited September 19– 23 in Cannes, at TFWA World Exhibition. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for one bottle of The Famous Grouse Celebration Blend Decanter is €99, or approximately $142.
