Even though it looks like a bike that would feel right at home on a racing track, the Beast Hoverbike concept was actually designed for flight, and this makes it even more impressive in our eyes. The concept was sketched out by Rico Kersten for a design contest named “A Road Trip in 2116,” and it features a radial fan propulsion system that’s quite similar to those used as cooling solutions on computer graphics cards.
The fan takes the place of a front wheel, and it is able to generate enough lift to get this hoverbike up into the sky. Apart from the fan, however, the body flaunts a series of low-mounted wings that help with steering, while the tail has a pair of reverse thrusters for braking purposes.
