The Batmobile-Inspired Crime fighter Truck

Paying tribute to his grandfather – the creator of the first ever BatmobileJared Barris has recently designed an awesome custom pickup truck fit for superheroes. The 1965 Batmobile created by George Barris was sold this year at auction for a whopping $4.2 million, which inspired Jared to design a unique Bat Truck and call it The Crime fighter.

The vehicle was designed around a 2012 Ford F-150 and Galpin Auto Sports gave it a careful customization that consisted of a tuxedo black paintjob and eye-catching accents in Ferrari red, much like the original car of Batman. There is even a pair of raised fins on the sides of the truck bed for extra awesomeness. Power comes from a Ford 5.0-liter V8 engine.

Probably the best thing about this project is the fact that it doesn’t necessarily have to be a one-off creation. If fighting crime in style sounds good to you, then you can already place an order with Galpin Auto Sports in Southern California, who will be happy to create a customized Crimefighter truck just for you. No word on pricing though, as of yet.
