Chocolate is one of the world’s most popular sweet treats, and when it comes to high-quality chocolate, few companies can surpass Cadbury in both worth and prestige. The company actually insures the taste buds of its workers, sometimes for enormous sums, and a great example is their in-house chocolate expert, Hayleigh Curtis, who had her buds ensured for $1,3 million.
This investment certainly makes sense, as chocolate makers need to have the healthiest taste buds, much like chefs, in order to make sure that their creations are irreproachable. And while Cadbury paid for the insurance itself, Curtis had to give up on quite a few guilty pleasures such as spicy foods and the delicious fugu fish, and she’s not allowed to practice any sports that might pose a threat to her taste buds.
