It’s true that the Archont Electro looks nothing like an ordinary electric bike, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. Flaunting a steampunk-like design with slim wheels, an elongated frame and tall handlebars, this unique two-wheeler was created by a company called Ono Bikes. It boasts a 26-inch wheel at the rear and a slightly larger one at the front, and it is powered by a seven-kilowatt electric motor located in the rear tire.
The motor gets its juice from a 72-volt battery, which is placed in the middle part of the frame. If you’re wondering about range, we’ll tell you that this elegant product can go for 61 miles on a single charge, which is quite respectable, while its top speed can be reached at 50 mph. Vital electrical parts are housed within a carbon fiber tank, but the frame itself was put together using stainless steel. Rear LED indicators add a welcomed touch of color to an otherwise serious and sober-looking bike.
