The owners requested three bedrooms and an open plan, which would allow the residence to cater to the needs of the family and their guests. The architects met these demands in full and made sure that the living areas would be as spacious and as comfortable as possible.

The house sits parallel to a river located on the southern side of the plot, and it opens up to the sun across its entire length on the northern side. The social areas such as the kitchen and dining room are linked to a covered braai patio, while the lounge is flanked by two courtyards, one of which is planted while the other includes a natural pond.
