Stunning Mille Miglia Zagato Timepiece by Chopard

As the official sponsor and timekeeper of the prestigious Mille Miglia racing event, Chopard recently released the exquisite Mille Miglia Zagato timepiece in partnership with the Milan-based bodywork specialist named Zagato. Chopard and Zagato share some history together, especially when it comes to Mille Miglia, since it was on the route of this legendary event that the Co-President of Chopard, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, met with Andrea Zagato for the first time.

This year, the Mille Miglia endurance race is celebrated through a fabulous timepiece that was personalized by Zagato’s experts and manufactured by Chopard. The watch features a 42.5mm steel case boasting a DLC finish, and it comes in 2 different versions, one involving an all-black appearance while the other brings a rose gold bezel with a red insert bearing the 24-hour dual-time graduation. Depending on the bezel’s color, the start/stop pusher comes in either rose gold or black, but it always features a red-lacquered tip no matter the version. Moreover, the famed Zagato “Z” logo can be seen in a pattern adorning the dial and also on the crown, while the strap flaunts a central groove as a testament to the firm’s exquisite craftsmanship.

The power comes from an automatic mechanical chronograph movement with a dual time and date display. The watch is part of a limited edition of 500 units for each of the two versions, and it is available for purchase at multiple Chopard boutiques worldwide. USA customers are able to buy the Mille Miglia Zagato from the Chopard E-boutique. The rose-gold colored variant comes with a price tag of $9,900, while the steel-DLC costs $8,100.
