Matthew McConaughey’s mansion is bound to impress
Matthew McConaughey is without a doubt one of Hill Country’s most famous residents. The star of movies such as The Wolf of Wallstreet and InterstellarIown owns a 11,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style estate overlooking Lake Austin. The three-story home boasts eight bathrooms, seven bedrooms, and a private boat dock for easy access to the Colorado River. There are a number of Texan influences apparent in the mansion’s interior including in the marble counters rich wooden detailing, and the spiral staircase. The exterior is equally as impressive and features two circular motor courts, a long oak-lined gated driveway, and sweeping lawns.
Jared Padalecki’s loves his Austin home
Of all the celebrities that callHill Country home, Jared Padalecki is probably the one that adores the region the most. Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester in the hit series Supernatural, was over the moon when he found a stunning piece of Hill Country real estate to make his own. The property measures 10,654 square feet and has no less than seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. The star shares the house, which also boasts a wine room, home theatre, mini-golf course, sports court, and gym room, with his wife and two sons. When he is not in front of the cameras, Padalecki spends time at the 90s-themed bar he owns in downtown Austin.
Jensen Ackles also calls Hill Country Home
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are not only co-stars, but they can be considered neighbors in real life as well. The Ackles mansion comprises of 5 bedrooms and a decorative style that has been labeled ‘more, more, more’ thank to wife Danneel’s elaborative decorating outlook. One of the coolest features of the mansion is undoubtedly the bar that is crafted from black walnut. The formal dining room had to be removed in order to make room for the sizeable bar but it was ‘not being used anyway’ according to the family. Other striking features in the mansion include exposed wooden beams, claw-foot bathtubs, and old—fashioned wainscoting.
