The wonderful home that we’re about to describe was designed by Andrés Escobar Taller Arquitectónica and was completed in 2013 on a scenic site in Tapalpa, Jalisco, México. Named PE Residence, the abode was designed to accommodate two families in harmony and comfort, which is why it includes private spaces for each family as well as common social areas such as living rooms and dining rooms.

In order to make sure that no trees were harmed during the construction process, the architects decided to preserve them all by allowing the project’s structure to complement the local natural slope. Therefore, the common areas on the ground floor as well as the private spaces on the second level benefit from access to a series of gardens.

The ground floor features coating made out of stone quarry – a material that has changed its appearance over time and has taken many different textures and colors. This stone layer provides support for a steel structure, which in turn backs the top floor.

It’s also worth noting that, apart from the main residence, the property also includes a small pavilion for visitors.
