Godzilla is widely considered one of the most powerful monsters that ever appeared on TV, especially since it is also one of the oldest. Also known as the “Alpha Predator” or the “King of the Monsters”, the giant beast made its first appearance in 1954 and quickly became a globally known pop culture icon.
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the first Godzilla film, a Japanese jeweler named Ginza Tanaka created an exquisite pure gold statuette of the famous monster, which features a whopping price tag of approximately $1.5 million. The item weighs 33 pounds, measures 9.4 inches and replicates the 1989 version of Godzilla that starred in the “Godzilla vs. Biollante” movie. The unique collectible was created with utmost attention to detail and flaunts polished fangs, fins and nails as well as slightly bulked up muscles.
Whoever ends up snatching this small treasure will surely become a very happy Godzilla fan.
