Richard Mille’s creations are always surprising and inspiring, so every time we hear about a new release of the luxury watchmaker we get really excited. Our latest reason for excitement is the RM053 watch designed in honor of Argentinian polo star Pablo Mac Donough.
Featuring the brand’s typical tonneau case, the watch measures 50mm x 42.7mm, and has its display placed at an angle that gives it the appearance of a driver’s timepiece. The case is made of a combination of titanium and titanium carbide, and the movement inside it is also placed at an angle to the case.
Its creator made sure that the elegant design of the RM053 would be able to withstand all the typical shocks and hits of a polo game, and it also made the watch water resistant to up to 50 meters. With a small seconds indicator on the left, and minutes and hours indicator on the right, the watch was a real stunner at the 2012 SIHH.
