Slovenian motorcycle company Tomos has announced their decision to revive the moped trend with the new Tomos Classic XL Moped. They haven’t manufactured one in over three decades, and this one will be produced in a limited number.
Aimed to a young clientele, the new pedal-start moped is equipped with a 49cc engine and has a maximum speed of 27 mph. These figures make it suitable for license-free driving in most countries, but Tomos only intends to sell it in the UK.
Another thing that the young riders will love about the Classic XL is its amazing fuel efficiency. Being powered by an engine that is not much different from that of a lawn mower’s, the moped can cover more than 100 miles with one gallon of fuel.
Tomos mopeds are quite famous for being extremely easy to maintain as well as tune. So if the stock version (available in Shadow Black, Baby Blue and Mint Green) doesn’t fully reflect your individuality, this two-wheeler can easily become more suitable for your style. The Classic XL is priced at £1,395 (approx. $2,200).
