Another goodie to be displayed in May at Villa d’Este is this 1938 Talbot Lago T150C-SS Teardrop Coupe by Figoni et Falaschi. Chassis 90112, this is one of only ten factory-built short-chassis vehicles ever made. It is also one of only three surviving examples with factory-fitted roof.

Its remarkable teardrop body makes this car “a wonderful representation of the automobile as art”, sais to Max Girardo, the Managing Director of RM Auctions Europe. This makes it a perfect contestant at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2011.
