Classic music lovers who want to get the change to peer into the creative mind of Ludwig van Beethoven would definitely get in line to purchase a page of the famous composer’s manuscript. This highly valuable and important piece of classical music history was apparently carried by Beethoven while he was composing his famous Missa Solemnis, and it includes a series of ideas written in pencil that might have been added during his journeys.
The page was originally discovered in 1996 by Anton Schindler, and it was put under the hammer by Sotheby’s for the enormous price tag of $100,000. Nowadays, the piece of paper is expected o fetch as much as $200,000 and it’s not hard to understand why once you acknowledge its heritage and significance.
