Edward Bazinet, is a multimillionaire who made his fortune by selling ceramic Christmas houses, and now he is ready to make even more cash by selling his five story penthouse in Tribeca, New York City. He is asking $28.5 million for the property, and for some pretty good reasons too.
When he bought the luxury dwelling, it was only a shell, with raw insulation and exterior siding. This happened two weeks before 9/11, after which Bazinet spent three years and pots of money renovating the penthouse. According to the millionaire himself, “It was like starting from scratch. It would have been easier if 9/11 had knocked it down.”
Spread over the aforementioned five floors there are 19 rooms, including 7 bedrooms and 7 baths. The different levels are connected by a stainless steel and glass staircase, plus a private elevator, and they all offer numerous luxe amenities. Mr. Bazinet, however, misses life in the countryside, and sais that the big city “can be a tough place at times”.
Consequently, he is now looking for someone who would appreciate a huge New York apartment with stunning views over Manhattan, three generous terraces, a roof garden, a rooftop home gym, and a wine cellar for 1,000 bottles. Also on the amenities list there are the full-floor master suite with fireplace and a lavish bathroom that boasts a ceramic mural bust of Napoleon made of 57,245 tiles, a greenhouse with orchids and other plants, a luxe kitchen, a library, a Jacuzzi room, and more.
