James Bond 007 50th Anniversary Omega Seamaster is a limited edition watch created to mark half a century of James Bond adventures. The world-famous spy has always worn Omega timepieces, every since its first movie, in 1995. This special version watch is actually a reinterpretation of the Seamaster diver’s watch, and it is available in two sizes: 36 mm for women, and 41 mm for men.
The larger version features one more applied hour marker than the smaller version, because the latter has a diamond at the 7 o’clock position, evoking the 007 agent number. All hour markers feature a white Superluminova coating, while the 12 o’clock bezel marker and the hands are covered with green Superluminova for easy reading in poor lighting conditions. The 3 o’clock hour marker has been replaced with a black date window.
There are several details on the timepiece that show its special character, such as the 007 monograms on the black lacquered dial, the red 50 dive marker on the ceramic bezel, and the gun barrel case back inscribed with the words “50 years of James Bond”. Both versions are powered by an Omega Calibre 2507 self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. They are certified chronometers, and their production is limited to 3,007 pieces for ladies and 11,007 units for men.
