Chevrolet fans, this one is for you! The latest performance package for the Camaro SS has finally been unveiled, to the delight of track day fans. The 1LE package comes as a desirable alternative to the more expensive ZL1 model, and it boasts an impressive number of upgrades.
Sporting a matte black hood, the upgraded SS is definitely more attractive than the standard version. It features a new rear spoiler, new front splitter, and ZL1-based 20-inch 10-spoke alloys. The tires are the same as those of the ZL1: Goodyear Eagle Supercar G:2.
Upgrades also include a new close-ratio six-speed manual transmission, improved fuel delivery system, and better front and rear stabilizers for more control. No changes were made to the engine. For now, Chevrolet is waiting for the SCCA to give its approval for the 1LE to enter the Touring Class competition.
