What happens when Volkswagen Group owns some of the best brands in the automotive world? Information and technology is bound to travel from one automaker to another. This is how a new Bugatti four-door sedan will be created on a Audi A8 platform.
Only 300 units will be made and their prices will be comparable to that of a Veyron. We don’t have details on the luxury sedan, we only know it should be launched in 2014. Probably the closest thing to this future project is the Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept which was unveiled in 2009 and which you can see in the pictures.
We don’t have detailed information on the Galibier, and the future four-door sedan is even more wrapped in mystery, but we are glad to share with you everything we know. The 16C Galibier flaunts a 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine in W-configuration that’s helped by dual two-stage superchargers. The motor can probably deliver some 800-1000 horsepower. So this new thing should be at least as impressive as the 2009 concept is.
