Casio’s G-Shock watches are known for their durable, rugged designs, but even these sporty pieces can receive luxury makeovers from time to time. The brand new MR-G Hammer Tone model in gold was created entirely by hand in Japan, and it was put together using the traditional Tsu-i-ki method of hammering each bezel/band in order to achieve a unique relief pattern. This timepiece celebrates Casio’s second collaboration with master metal craftsman Bihou Asano, as well as the 20th anniversary of the Tsu-i-ki method that we mentioned before.

Limited to just 300 units, each watch had its bezel hammered individually by Bihou Asano, but we should also mention the titanium case and bracelet band of this particular model, as well as its GPS satellite synchronization system and non-reflective sapphire crystal.  Other highlights include a Tough Solar Movement, an airplane mode, a latitude indicator, dual world time, a full auto calendar, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, a full auto LED illuminator and a price tag of $6,200.
