Designed by Arquitectura en Estudio, Casa 5 is a modern residence that was built 9,022 feet above sea level at the edge of La Calera, Cundinamarca, Colombia. Spacious and comfortable, the abode features several large windows that allow natural light to flow freely throughout the main living areas in order to ensure a cozy ambiance.
The part facing the street appears closed for privacy purposes, and this is where the service areas and car park were inserted. As for the internal circulation, it is organized by a transparent central patio, which basically represents the core of the house. The social areas are located in the south wing. They include the dining room and a double height living room, both of which benefit from views of the nearby lake and garden. The private living spaces such as the bedrooms are located in the north wing, while the second floor incorporates two working areas for the owners.
