Michael Jackson’s Thriller Jacket at Auction

Michael Jackson’s Thriller Jacket at Auction

Michel Jackson’s music videos were always fascinating and unique. One of the best was the “Thriller”, a video that captured everyone’s imagination when it was released in 1983. Now, two years after the artist’s demise, one of the two jackets that he had worn in this video will be presented at a music memorabilia sale in Beverly Hills (June 25-26).

Julien’s auction house said that the King of Pop had received the famous red and black jacket from designers Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins. On the inside lining there is a message that reads “To Bush and Dennis, All My Love, Michael Jackson”, while one of the sleeves bears the words “Love, Michael Jackson”. The jacket is expected to fetch between $200,000 and $400,000 and part of this money will go to the Shambala Preserve, where the singer’s two Bengal tigers have been living since 2006.
