This outstanding creation of Mercedes-Benz, called F 125! is inspiring everybody at Frankfurt. Boasting the automaker’s design directions for the 2025 CL-Class and the F800 Style concept (which debuted in 2010 at Geneva), the F 125! is a truly futuristic vehicle!
The superb Mercedes-Benz F 125! boasts four electric motors that can put out a total of 231 horsepower and which can push the car from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 137 mph. The car consumes 0.79 kg of hydrogen per 100 km and one fuel tank is enough to keep it running for a whopping 621 miles.
The chassis is made of a mix of aluminum, carbon fiber and plastic, while the tank is manufactured from a special carbon fiber that can keep the hydrogen at 700 bar. The gorgeous gullwing ride has a 10-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that allows it to cover a 31-mile distance before requiring the fuel-cell activation, at the touch of a button.
It’s not sure whether or not Mercedes intends to send a hydrogen-powered vehicle into production any time soon, but we would definitely love to see one on the road. For now, we can only admire such creations at important automotive events like the one that is taking place right now at Frankfurt.
