Mercedes-Benz Announces the New 2014 E-Class

Mercedes-Benz is ready to unveil the brand new facelift that it created for the 2014 E-Class. There are now two versions for the front grille, a classic and a sporty one, and the LED daytime running lights/taillights are standard. Other modifications include altered front and rear bumpers and a new hood.

Interested customers should also know about the new range of available engines before making up their minds about what to buy. The E200 received a quite powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that can put out 181 hp, while the E250 is even more impressive, boasting 208 hp.

Of course, the good stuff doesn’t end here, and muscle seekers will be happy to learn about the E350 powered by a 302 hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, and the E550 that puts out 402 hp via a 5.5-liter V8 unit. The E400 hybrid is capable of 329 hp.

The more silent E-Class is the E200 CDI, which is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.1-liter turbodiesel engine that delivers up to 134 hp. Also powered by the same engine, but delivering 168 hp, is the E220 CDI. The E250 CDI can put out 201 hp.

Finally, the most muscular version of all will be the E63 AMG, which will pack 518 ponies. It will be powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, and it will only become available sometime next fall.
