Mark Zuckerberg Buys His First Home for $7 Million

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has finally decided to get a home of his own. The young billionaire has been living in a rental house in Palo Alto and he appeared to be very content with his frugal lifestyle. However, it seems that he and his girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, decided it was time to make a change in this department.

His frugality didn’t fade away, as some might be tempted to say after hearing that he paid $7 million on a new home. If you compare his acquisition to other billionaires’ purchases, you will see that Zuckerberg is actually quite modest. Yuri Milner,  for instance, had no problem in shelling out $100 million on a new home in Silicon Valley, even though he actually lives in Moscow with his family. And we believe there is no need to remind you of the ridiculously expensive Antilia home of Indian mogul, Mukesh Ambani.

Zuckerberg’s new residence is situated on a 17,100-square-foot lot and offers 5,617 square feet of living spaces. Located in the Crescent Park neighborhood in Palo Alto, the house is just a 10-minutes drive from the new Facebook corporate campus in Menlo Park. Well hidden from the curious eyes of passers by, the residence is surrounded by a wall and citrus trees. It offers five bedrooms and five and a half baths, a very large dining room, a glassed-in porch, a music alcove, a backyard with a saltwater pool, an outdoor gazebo with a wood-burning fireplace, and even a spa for pampering and relaxation.
