Unveiled for the first time back in 2012, the Flyknit is undoubtedly one of the most popular footwear materials right now, as it helps create incredibly comfortable running shoes. The only problem with Nike’s Flyknit is that it’s not exactly good at repelling water, but things are looking up thanks to the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit Shield.
Put together using a Durable Water Resistant TPU yarn that complements an additional water repellant internal bootie, this shoe can keep your feet dry during your running sessions without sacrificing on that unique Flyknit feel. In order to get the design just right, Nike’s experts tested various outsoles in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains both during the winter season and i the spring snowmelt, and they eventually settled on an IU LunarEpic outsole.
