Longines Honors Singapore’s Independence With A Unique Watch

Marking the 50-year anniversary of Singapore’s independence, Swiss watchmaker Longines decided to release a very special edition of its Longines Masters Collection GMT timepiece. Limited to just 50 units for obvious reasons, the watch will become available for purchase at the brand’s stores in Marina Bay Sands and Marina Square, and it will surely sell out quickly given its exclusivity.

The watch flaunts an 18-carat rose gold case that measures 38.5mm and incorporates a self-winding mechanical movement. The stamped barleycorn dial is used to showcase the hours, minutes and seconds as well as the date. Furthermore, the user can keep track of time in all time zones thanks to the piece’s timezone ring and 24-hour inner disk. The collar of the timepiece features the name of the famous city-state in red. A symbol of a crescent and a pentagon of five stars, which can also be found on Singapore’s national flag, adorns the back of the case alongside the following inscription: “Singapore Celebrates 50 Years Of Independence 2015.”

This special Longines watch comes with a brown alligator strap complemented by a deployment buckle.
