Another limited edition timepiece has hit the market bearing Richard Milles’ signature. Called RM 030 Americas, the watch will be produced in only 30 examples and they will be sold, as the name clearly suggests, only throughout the Americas.
Its most distinguishable feature is obviously the bright orange trims that can be seen on the skeletonized hands, upper flange and crown protector. The color creates a beautiful contrast with the black nanotube carbon case and the black rubber band. For easy readability, the date aperture and the numerals on the skeletonized dial are white.
Powering the Americas edition is the same innovative movement that Richard Mille used in 2011 for the first RM 030 model, which was an unlimited edition. The key characteristic of this in-house movement is its “declutchable” rotor, which results in excellent accuracy. With two barrels and a frequency of 28,800 vph, the movement has a power reserve of 55 hours. Its retail price is $135,000.
