Lexus’ Plans for the Future Include an LFA Roadster

Lexus LF-A Roadster (29)

Saddened by the fact that the gorgeous Lexus LFA was limited to only 500 units? Don’t be! The luxury automaker has promised a roadster version of the hot ride and has announced that it might be ready to hit the market in 2014. To get an idea of how the car will look like, you can take a look at the photos below, showing the 2008 Detroit Auto Show concept of the roadster.

The much anticipated “VX” seven-passenger crossover has been delayed, so there’s not much to tell about this car. Meanwhile, we can share some news about the RX and the larger GX: the first will be redesigned for 2014 and the latter will only see a few minor changes in the future, as it already got a new look in 2010. As for the LX, no modifications are scheduled for the near future.

The sedan lineup will welcome a brand new model in 2012, called the Lexus GS. Soon afterwards a new and improved ES will make its appearance, together with a hybrid version. The next year will also see an overhauled IS, based on a modified version of the new GS platform.
