One of the most memorable scenes in James Cameron’s “Titanic” is the one in which Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Jack Dawson, sketches a beautiful nude portrait of Kate Winslet’s character, Rose Calvert. Reclining on a sofa and wearing nothing but the Heart of the Ocean, Kate posed for the talented illustrator who was actually James Cameron himself.
The precious drawing was recently auctioned off by Premiere Props and the winning bid was of $16,000. Yes, that’s a lot of money, but then again, who wouldn’t want to have the opportunity to say “Hey, would you like to see Kate Winslet’s nude Titanic portrait? I mean the original one. It’s in my living room”.
