In ‘The Mechanic’, Jason Statham plays the role of a professional assassin who works for two years on his Jaguar E-Type Series I, only to let it end tragically in an explosion, in the hands of the enemy. At the movie’s premiere in Las Vegas, the British actor chose to drive a Jaguar E-Type Series II, to represent the red beauty in the movie.
For the event he borrowed the car from Bill Streitenberger, a Jaguar Clubs of North America member. The E-Type has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, but it still is a very admired vehicle that many would love to own today.
