Shelby and a Swiss watchmaking company called Baume & Mercier joined hands in order to mark one of the most important moments in Shelby’s history: when the FIA World Championship was won by the Shelby Cobra 427 five decades ago. That incredible car was a two-seater roadster that did what no other Shelby automobile could do before, and that’s why Baume & Mercier agreed to honor it by creating the limited edition Capeland Shelby Cobra watches.
When asked about these exquisite timepieces, the Swiss watchmaker’s CEO, Alain Zimmermann, stated the following: “The elegance of lines, attention to high-quality and legacy of expertise are some of the common characteristics between our creations, our philosophy and values.” We don’t have any information about the watch’s availability, price or technical specifications yet, but we do know that it will become available in June.
